下切步
意为“下方的切步”（coupé under）。当一只脚自支撑脚跟的下方切过时，该 coupé 即称为 dessous（在下）。四位，右脚向后绷脚尖点地。左腿 demi-plié，随后借助弹跳将右脚收向左脚，以右脚落在左脚原先的位置上 fondu，左脚延伸至 à la quatrième devant à terre，或依后续动作抬至 demi-hauteur。Coupé dessous 也可以右脚置于 sur le cou-de-pied derrière 起始：左腿 demi-plié；跳入空中，充分绷直脚尖，以右脚落地，左脚收至 sur le cou-de-pied devant。若该 coupé 作为 terre à terre（贴地）步伐完成，舞者将右脚自左脚后方收至五位，立起半脚尖；随后右腿 fondu，同时左脚猛然抬起至右脚踝前。
Coupé under. A coupé is said to be dessous or under when one foot cuts under the heel of the supporting foot. Fourth position R foot back, pointe tendue. Demi-plié on the L foot, then with a spring draw the R foot toward the L foot and finish in fondu on the R foot in the place vacated by the L foot and with the L foot extended à la quatrième devant à terre or demi-hauteur, depending on the movement to follow. Coupé dessous may also be done beginning with the R foot sur le cou-de-pied derrière. Demi-plié on the L foot; spring into the air, extending the toes, and land on the R foot with the L foot sur le cou-de-pied devant. If the coupé is taken as a terre à terre step the dancer draws the R foot behind the L foot into the fifth position on the demi-pointes. Fondu on the R leg, raising the L foot sharply in front of the R ankle.
